Happy New Year!

2011 is gone, soon to be a distant memory that we view in the rear view mirror. And 2012 is just getting underway. This is the time many of us take to reflect on the year behind and look forward and set our goals and plan our strategies for the year ahead. Some of us make resolutions, while others just move on and roll with the punches.

I’ve never really been one for resolutions but this year I am looking at 2012 with a lot of anticipation. I have a good feeling about the upcoming year, and I’m shifting gears, tweaking my business model, and planning for good things.

I’m going to grab 2012 by the horns and make it my year. How about you?

And that’s the topic of this week’s video, along with an homage to some of the greatest musical minds of this generation.

Enjoy!

How was 2011 for you? And what are your plans and goals for 2012? Is it going to be your year?

I have massive plans for 2012. I have decided that this will be the make or break year. No holding back ... I am going to give it all in creating a sustainable income online. I am going to focus on unfinished projects and take them to the next level.

My simple mantra for 2012 is this: make it work. No excuses, no crutches. I have placed the onus on myself to make things work - that means doing whatever it takes to make things work.

Seems like there is positive excitement everywhere about 2012! Im looking forward to it for a few reasons. My birthday is 12/12 so I actually am turning 33 on 12/12/12 - that's gotta mean something somwhere - right? And I feel like 2011 was a somber one for me, not many joys that stand out (am sure I laughed a lot though as always) so I am hoping to turn the leaf in 2012. I am entering this year of a better understanding of what I want from my relationships with my family, what I envision my job to be (both in regards to type of company and my responsibilities) and even where I want to live.

Happy new year Ken! Loved your video as always. Good points and a good laugh <- winning combination! Wish you and yours a very happy new year and tons of success in 2012.

Really great, as always! Like you, I'm excited for a brand new year. And I love your comment to @RachelStrella about a new year being just another day, another week. I asked my husband if he was excited to have a new year and he said "tomorrow I'll have another year..and the next day and the next day" Interesting perspective. Every day is a new chance to start over, really, isn't it?

I, too, have anticipation and good feelings about the New Year. I'm always looking for ways to refine and now I finally have a full calendar year of business under my belt. I'm taking the bull by the horns and taking him for a ride this year!

@C_Pappas Thanks for stopping by, Christina. I really DO have a great feeling about 2012, not just for me, but about a lot of my friends here on the blog and on Twitter. But, since you revealed the whole 12/12 thing, I guess we can blame you if it doesn't pan out, right?

@RachelStrella a New Year is really just another day...another week, but at least it is a new beginning that gives us a focal point for change!
