If you’re a fan of Gini Dietrich and Spin Sucks, as I am, you’ll notice that she does a weekly video feature called “Facebook Question of the Week.” Well, Gini has been on the road a lot, and as a result, today’s Facebook Question did not feature a video. If you haven’t checked out her videos, go and subscribe to the Arment Dietrich YouTube Channel.
Do it. Now.
Anyway, because there was no video this morning, I reached out to Gini and offered to give up some real estate here on my blog to publish her latest video, so I hope you enjoy it.
Warning: If you’re here looking for good, relevant content, you might want to step away and look elsewhere on my site. You won’t find it in this post. This post is merely me having fun. If you’re the type that thinks all content needs to be relevant and pithy, well, I feel sorry for you.
Warning #2: If you don’t know Gini and her videos, you might not “get” this. But all I want you to do is smile a little, and perhaps laugh. I don’t care whether you laugh with me or at me. Just laugh. We all take ourselves way too seriously and sometimes we just need a laugh. I hope this fits the bill for you.
And now, I give you, Gini Dietrich and her Facebook Question of the Week.
If you can’t see this video in your email or your feed, click here, and feel subscribe to my Inkling Media YouTube channel. You’ll find some real content in the other videos there.
Now, having seen the video, and having heard what I have to say about it, there is a lesson here.
Lighten up. Don’t just be all about your business. It is possible to have fun and still have people take you seriously. Be the mufti-dimensional person you are. Don’t just talk about your business. That’s boring. Feel free to let your hair down, so to speak, and don’t be afraid to make fun of yourself a little.
And thank you, Gini, for being such a good sport (boy, I sure hope she’s a good sport about this…). This is what makes for great friendships and relationships.
