The Importance of Monitoring Your Brand

As more of us are living our lives online and doing business online, it’s becoming increasingly important for us to make sure we are monitoring what is being said about us and our businesses.

Through RSS feeds, Google Alerts, and a variety of other tools, we have the ability to keep up with what others are saying about us. We can’t ignore what the public thinks about our brand, and how they are articulating that online. We need to use these tools wisely and regularly.

And because monitoring is so important, I decided to make it the topic of this week’s On the Porch with Ken video. In it I discuss why you need to monitor your brand, as well as what can happen if you fail to pay attention.

If you can’t see the video in your reader or email, just click here.

Are you monitoring your brand? Do you know what others are saying about you?

A special thanks to my friend Adam Hann for helping me out on this video.

Good stuff Ken, hey someone took your wallet...hahaahaha It's true, I think the best example is the "United Breaks Guitars" video that really was big and if they would've just listened to their customer, the headache and losses they would've saved.

Very cool idea Ken. I had no idea what you were intending to do with that shady character. Just kidding Adam!

Also glad to see that your site is back up and running.
