Social Media is a Work in Progress

You spend a lot of money on your website and go back and forth with the designer making sure that it has just the right look and functionality that you want. And in most cases, the site is rather static. The designer finishes the site and turns it over to you. Most sites aren’t overly interactive, with the exception of maybe your blog. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

But with Social Media, you’re never done. In fact, your Social Media properties are always under construction.

Conversations may end, but life goes on and new conversations begin. Social Media is an ongoing process…a constant work in progress.

The moment you stop listening and engaging, you risk being forgotten.

Don’t ever think that you are done, or that you have arrived.

This is true, it is definitely some work. But like anything, (prepare for amazingly profound statement) you can only get out of it what you put into it. I have made some great friends through social media and I wouldn't change that for the world!
