Last week I mentioned that Paul Chaney and I were preparing to launch a new blog focusing on the relatively new social media segment known as “location-based networking” or geolocation. You know: Foursquare, Gowall, Loopt, etc.
Well today is the day Paul and I are launching Check-Insider. Paul and I fall into that category some might refer to as “social media geeks.” We’re interested in Social Media as a whole, and like to keep our fingers on the pulse of new things coming down the pike. So we decided to launch this new site mostly for fun. We’re interested in location-based networking from both the user and business perspectives.
So here’s what you need to do:
- Bookmark the URL, so when we launch it, you’ll be ready.
- Subscribe to the RSS feed if you’d like to stay abreast of the posts
- If you’re a Posterous user, add this site to your list
If you have an interest in this topic and are an experienced blogger, consider joining us in posting (minimum is one post per week). We’re trying to turn this into a group blog and are looking for four other people to join us.
We’re planning to launch the site at 1 p.m Eastern time and will tweet the launch when it happens.
